Mass College of Art President Signs Statement of Support

Boston - Dr. Katherine (Kay) Sloan, President of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, became the fourth state college president to sign an ESGR Statement of Support. The August 28th ceremony took place in her office where ESGR Area Chair John Pelose invited Dr. Sloan to sign the Statement of Support as a symbolic gesture affirming her support for MassArt students and employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.

Prior to the signing, Mr. Pelose provided a brief overview of ESGR which included its history, vision, mission, and programs. Mr. Pelose noted that Dr. Sloan is very supportive of Guard and Reserve membership and that six employees and students are currently serving in a Reserve Component.

Massachusetts College of Art and Design was the first and remains the only public four year college of art in the United States .
