A local landscaping company was acknowledged
for its support of a mobilized employee at an ESGR Award ceremony on
August 19th. Babin Landscaping was recognized as an employer that
does more than the minimum with the presentation of the Above and
Beyond Award. Accepting the award was company president David J.
Babin who said his employees, many of whom attended the presentation,
really deserve credit for the incredible support that was shown
their co-worker.
Mr. Babin’s support for his mobilized
employee was demonstrated every time it snowed last year. Babin snow
removal crews kept their co-worker’s driveway clear of snow
throughout last winter’s very numerous and heavy snowfalls, making
sure it was always one of the first plowed. The Soldier's wife was
often moved to tears whenever she heard or saw a plow clearing her
driveway. Adding to the significance of this support was the fact
that Pepperell recorded 99 inches of snow during the winter of
2007-2008. Babin Landscaping is just another in a long and growing
list of truly supportive Massachusetts employers.

Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve was staff
