A major city employer was recognized for its
support of employees who serve in the National Guard or Reserve at
an awards presentation attended by over 120 employees. Kollmorgen
Electro Optical was nominated, and approved for the Above and Beyond
Award, which was presented in a ceremony on August 12th.
Accepting this prestigious award on behalf of all
his employees was company president Michael Wall. Jeffrey Morrison,
who received incredible support from the company and his co-workers
during his recent deployment said, "This award is justified in
so many ways and I am so thankful to belong to the Kollmorgen family".
The Above and Beyond Award honors employers of
Reserve Component members who go above and beyond the requirements
of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA).
Examples of above and beyond support from employers include
continuation of benefits, providing pay differential and assisting
with childcare.
