With a gathering of more than 80 members of his department looking on, as well as local civic officials, and Guard & Reserve family members, Plymouth County Sheriff Joseph McDonald signed a Statement of Support at his headquarters on August 1st. Sheriff McDonald is a major supporter of ESGR and as he signed the statement, he pledged his continued and ongoing support for his thirteen Guard & Reserve member employees who were present as well. Sheriff McDonald stated "This is the very least I can do for folks who are making major sacrifices and are constantly giving on a daily basis!"

On hand for the event representing MAESGR was Southeastern Mass Area Chairman Joachim-Ingo Borowski. Awards Director Roger Fortin, Committee Member Robert Pomeroy and Program Support Specialist  David St. Germain.
