Andover Town Clerk Randall Hanson was presented the ESGR (Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve) “Above and Beyond Award” on February 11th. Francis Reidy, from ESGR, presented Ms. Hanson the award in recognition for her support of Lynn Spitalere, one of her employees. Lynn is an Air Force Reserve Sergeant that recently returned from a tour in Kosovo with the 101st Engineer Battalion. 

The ESGR has previously recognized Andover for its support to military personnel. Yet this award is significant, as it recognizes individuals that go of above and beyond normal support. In particular, Ms. Hanson sponsored a successful clothes collection drive and mailed the items to Kosovo where Lynn distributed them to local families in need.
