The Massachusetts Committee for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve sponsors many events during the course of the year. These special  events involve ESGR Members and groups of Employers. ESGR has held these events to celebrate the partnership between the committee and employers who have members of the guard and reserve on their staff.  One of the many gatherings is called: "Luncheon with the boss".

 

On Friday, February 29, 2008, the first of at least three scheduled luncheons was held at the U.S. Coast Guard Station in Boston's Historic North End. Twenty employers and five members of MA ESGR attended the morning long tour followed by lunch in the galley with Coast Guard Personnel. All the guests were impressed by the professionalism, dedication to duty and team work of the combined Active Duty and Reserve Coast Guard Force. The base of operations is located on the waters edge at the bottom of Hanover St.   All attendees witnessed diving , sea traffic control  and rescue operations executed flawlessly. A big "Bravo Zulu" was sent out to all of the Guard folks for a job "Well Done"
