On Tuesday November
6th, SGT George M. Mercuri, a member of the 719th Transportation Battalion
presented Mr. Richard J. Ray, Vice President of Dollar Rent-A-Car in East
Boston, a U.S. Flag that had been flown over the unit Headquarters in IRAQ. The
flag was presented in appreciation of Mr. Ray’s support for members of SGT
Mercuri’s Army Reserve Unit.
During
the Mobilization
period in
North Carolina
, Mr. Ray worked with
COL
(Ret) Joseph Mercuri to provide special auto rental discounts and care packages
for members of the 719th. During deployment, Mr. Ray continued to provide care
packages in support of the troops. At the flag presentation held at Dollar
Rent-A-Car’s
Logan
airport office, Mr. Ray acknowledged the tremendous effort and sacrifice by all
our men and women who are serving our country and protecting our freedoms.
