Logan Airport's Dollar Rent-A-Car Supports our Men & Women who serve in the Guard and Reserve

On Tuesday November 6th, SGT George M. Mercuri, a member of the 719th Transportation Battalion presented Mr. Richard J. Ray, Vice President of Dollar Rent-A-Car in East Boston, a U.S. Flag that had been flown over the unit Headquarters in IRAQ. The flag was presented in appreciation of Mr. Ray’s support for members of SGT Mercuri’s Army Reserve Unit.

During the Mobilization period in North Carolina , Mr. Ray worked with COL (Ret) Joseph Mercuri to provide special auto rental discounts and care packages for members of the 719th. During deployment, Mr. Ray continued to provide care packages in support of the troops. At the flag presentation held at Dollar Rent-A-Car’s Logan airport office, Mr. Ray acknowledged the tremendous effort and sacrifice by all our men and women who are serving our country and protecting our freedoms.

Dollar Rent-A-Car opened in 1976 by John Damore Jr. and Richard Ray Sr. as Travelers Rental Company Inc. DBA Dollar Rent-A-Car. It is one of the largest and oldest franchises in the Dollar Rent-A-Car system, with locations in New Hampshire , Massachusetts , Connecticut , and Rhode Island . Dollar Rent-A-Car is the only locally owned and operated car rental company operating at Logan International Airport today.
