Jobs were being offered and both
current and previous members of the armed service came in droves to submit their
resumes and discuss employment opportunities. Early July 12th, the
doors to the luxury level seating opened and this Country’s true Patriots were
extended a warm welcome as they rode the escalator to the job fair located on
the mezzanine level. There, with the playing field as a visual backdrop,
perspective employees talked directly with Human Resource Directors as they
contemplated their next career move.
The Massachusetts ESGR Committee was
also present and took the opportunity to explain the Uniformed Services
Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) to both Employers and Service
Members. Several employers took the opportunity to sign a Statement of Support.
One of the firms looking to hire more
qualified individuals with military experience and values was BioDefense
Corporation, a leader in developing and fielding Bio-Terrorism defense systems.
One BioDefense Corporation employee working the company booth at Gillette was
SFC Walter Guertin, a citizen soldier with the Army Reserves. BioDefense
Corporations’ CEO & Chairman proudly signed a Statement of Support and then
posed with other employees in front of a company vehicle. Pictured from left to
