On July 10, the Northeast Copier Systems Company of Milford, MA was
awarded the ESGR Above & Beyond Award, for actions which were far beyond the
requirements of USERRA. On hand for the presentation were company CEO John
Uttero, several employees, and ESGR reps Dave St. Germain and Tom Boyle.
CW2 Neil J. Decasse, company employee, in nominating his boss for a Patriot
Award, stated, " My employer gave me a laptop as a going away gift so that I
would be able to keep in touch family and friends via e-mail. He has allowed me
to keep using my company cell phone while stateside to communicate with my
family. He has also ordered 2 service flags with my name on them, one for my
family and one to display at the office. He also allowed me to hire my own
replacement to fill in for me while I'm deployed. Above all else, several folks
from the office have offered to assist my wife whenever needed, as well as kept
in touch with me by e-mail. They have shown nothing but support throughout this
deployment."
It goes without saying, that not only has John Uttero executed a
Statement of Support, he has also encouraged others to do so. John Uttero, is
not only a model employer and businessman, but
a patriotic citizen as well.
