June 1, 2007 was the date of this years Annual Employer Appreciation Day at the Massachusetts Military Reservation on Cape Cod. On hand for this event were more than 50 employers of Guard & Reserve members as well as twelve members of the Massachusetts ESGR Committee.

 Throughout the day, guests were transported from unit to unit within the MMR hearing informative briefings and viewing static displays provided by the US Coast Guard & Coast Guard Reserve, the Army National Guard & The Air National Guard.

 The highlight of the day was probably the helicopter demonstration rides provided by Army National Guard aviation personnel.

  An after-action survey provided numerous great comments but probably the best was given by Kerry Bickford or the University of Massachusetts who stated.... "I cannot express how OK it was. I have always admired those who have dedicated their services and lives to the US, but the level of professionalism and the general atmosphere of respect and intelligence I witnessed in every part of the tour has left me with a commitment and that you cannot even imagine. It was really important for me, as a civilian committed to supporting military families, to participate in the briefings so that I have knowledge that I never had before about the day to day, year to year operations that allow us the privilege of living in freedom. I cannot thank any of you enough for your service."
