On Friday morning, September 7, 2006, Massachusetts ESGR Committee
Vice-Chairman David St. Germain, officiated at a 5-Star Statement of
Support signing ceremony at Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical
High School in Rochester, MA.
On hand to sign for Old Colony
was Superintendent/Director David Ferreira and witnessing the signing
was Lt. Col. Nancy Souza, an educator at the institution. Col. Souza is
the former commander of the 1058th Transportation Company, assigned to
Hingham, MA and as such led the unit into the Iraqi theater during its
recent mobilization.
Col Souza stated that during her tenure at the school, Mr.
Ferreira has been a steadfast supporter of her military career and both
he and the school kept in close contact with her during her
mobilization. Col Souza is now a member of the 101st Regiment (RTI) at
Camp Edwards. Mr. Ferreira member of the US Army Reserve having served
with the former 483rd Engineering Battalion in New Bedford.
