The Boys of Summer will become the men of tomorrow. Many will be serving in our armed forces around the world. The Holyoke Giants baseball owner, Phillip Rosenfield, wanted to show the public he supports our men and women in all the armed forces. While he has no one on the team or his staff in the National Guard or Reserves he felt the need to help spread the word.

  To that end he felt the signing of a State of Support on the field during a game was the best way to show his support. In attendance for the Massachusetts ESGR Committee was Earl Bonett, Central Mass Area Chairman.

  The plan was to have Rosenfield sign the statement during a game on July 29. An unexpected illness kept him from the game but not from having the signing.  His Assistant General Manager Nick Thorne did the signing on his behalf.
